Sunset Summit Is Climbing Onto Steam Next Month

Reach the Top of Sunset Summit

Fans of co-op games have a new adventure to look forward to as DEVOUR developer brothers Joe and Andrew Fender, alongside publisher Future Friends Games, have officially announced that their upcoming climbing game, Sunset Summit, will launch on Steam on August 21.

Following the massive success of DEVOUR, which has sold more than 7 million copies, the team is taking a different approach with Sunset Summit. Instead of horror, this new title offers a lighthearted but challenging cooperative climbing experience where up to eight players work together to conquer towering floating islands before the sun sets.

In the game, players can explore handcrafted climbing routes that offer different ways to reach each summit. While the climb is filled with tricky obstacles, the game focuses on fun rather than punishment. Frequent checkpoints and instant respawns mean you can quickly get back into the action after every fall, keeping the adventure moving without unnecessary frustration.

Teamwork plays a major role throughout the journey. Friends can communicate using proximity voice chat and walkie-talkies while coordinating climbs and helping one another overcome difficult sections. A variety of climbing tools is also available, including axes, ropes, item delivery drones, and even some unusual gadgets like pogo sticks, booster pills, and cans of beans, adding a fun twist to every expedition.

With its colorful world, accessible gameplay, and emphasis on cooperation, Sunset Summit looks set to become another entertaining multiplayer experience from the creators of DEVOUR. If you’re searching for a fun game to enjoy with friends this summer, this mountain-climbing adventure is one to keep an eye on when it arrives on August 21.
