Get a Taste of Gooey
The sticky precision platformer Gooey is offering fans a sneak peek with a new demo released today for Steam Next Fest. The full launch will take place in 2026 on PC and Nintendo Switch. However, players can now swing into action on Steam via PC and Mac, experiencing the stretchy hero in action.

In Gooey, players control a little green goo created in a cutting-edge lab experiment. Then they will test their elastic abilities across 50 physics-driven platforming levels. Using Gooey’s extendable arm, players grab platforms, launch through pipes, navigate conveyor belts, and avoid the occasional scientific mishap. The game challenges players to time their swings perfectly, execute movement-driven combos, and build momentum to clear wide gaps. All while collecting L-A-B letters and reaching the Beacon to complete each stage.
Beyond its core levels, Gooey offers a robust cross-platform Level Editor. This allows players to create, share, and discover an endless variety of custom stages. The community-driven Workshop ensures there is always a fresh challenge waiting, keeping gameplay inventive and engaging.
“We feel like proud parents finally bringing our little green goo of a passion project to life,” said Ben Darling, Co-founder at OG Pixel. “While we’re heavily inspired by retro pixel platforming classics, we couldn’t be more excited to hit the scene with a high-quality 2.5D indie platformer and can’t wait to see what kind of twisted contraptions players cook up in the level editor!”
The Steam Next Fest demo is now available on PC and Mac, giving players an early taste of Gooey’s sticky, swinging adventures. Full release on Steam and Nintendo Switch will follow next year, promising a playful, physics-driven platforming experience that encourages creativity, skill, and a little gooey fun.
