STRIDEN Just Released Its First Major Content Update Called “Re Launch”

Step Into the War Zone in STRIDEN

STRIDEN, the indie shooter that captured attention during its Early Access launch three months ago, has just received its first major content patch, Re Launch. This update, shaped by extensive player feedback, introduces a suite of quality of life improvements, essential bug fixes, and a stronger anti-cheat system, ensuring a smoother and fairer gameplay experience.

The standout addition is a brand new game mode called Kontroll, which is in the classic Domination format. Players engage in fast-paced 5v5 battles, capturing and defending three flags across expansive maps. Unlike many modern shooters, Kontroll eschews skill-based matchmaking, instead offering nostalgic gunplay reminiscent of early 2010s first-person shooters. The Scandinavian-inspired maps enhance the experience with unique environmental hazards.

Two new maps complement this mode. Nuke 08 transports players to the heart of Stockholm, Sweden, offering a tense urban combat environment filled with hidden dangers around every corner. For the Transmit mode, the new map Souppat delivers large-scale skirmishes in a scenic mountain village near the Norwegian border. Scandinavian forests surround this map and demand tactical maneuvering.

Beyond new modes and maps, Re Launch incorporates dozens of community-requested improvements and bug fixes. These updates reflect the developers’ dedication to refining STRIDEN based on player input.

Adding to the excitement, STRIDEN is joining Steam’s Autumn Sale with a staggering 80% discount. With its fresh content, nostalgic gameplay, and scenic yet chaotic maps, this game is a must-try for fans of fast, intense, and uniquely unpredictable first-person shooters.
