SEED Expands City Life in Avesta With Its First Major Content Update

Shape the Growing City in SEED

Klang Games has released the first major content update for SEED, bringing several new features to its multiplayer life simulator. The 0.4 update arrived today on November 3, introducing expanded building options, player-hosted gatherings, shared electricity grids, and more ways to develop communities in Avesta.

One of the biggest additions focuses on making Seedlings’ lives more personal. Characters will now visibly age from birth to death, while expecting Seedlings will develop baby bumps and display due dates. The new Memoria app will also preserve the stories, relationships, and final thoughts of characters who have passed away.

Building and customization are getting plenty of attention, too. Players can develop construction skills, add balconies, customize buildings with 18 color schemes, and construct structures up to eight floors high. New building styles, ranging from log cabins to futuristic designs, will also offer different specialization paths. Generators, solar panels, and shared electricity grids will help power neighborhoods, while restaurants introduce takeaway and dine-in services.

Social interactions are also expanding. Players can organize gatherings, invite friends through the Spark social feed, and exchange messages using the new SeedMail client. Refreshed Society goals and an Achievements panel will provide additional progression opportunities, alongside changing weather featuring wind, rain, and new cloud systems.

Interestingly, SEED is approaching its first major generational shift, as its original Seedlings begin reaching the end of their lives. Players will need to prepare wills to ensure their properties and savings pass on to the next generation.

SEED is available in Early Access for $29.99/€29.99 through Klang’s PC launcher, with Steam support planned for next year. With romance, dating, clinics, and more features coming soon, Avesta’s virtual community is only getting started.
