A Wave of New Content Awaits in Destiny: Rising
NetEase Games has launched Destiny Rising Season 3 Act 1, a substantial new update for its licensed, cross-platform sci-fi RPG shooter set in the Destiny universe. Rolling out across the holiday season, the update introduces new activities, the return of a fan favorite raid, and limited-time events that reward players with free characters. Together, these additions aim to deepen progression and expand the game’s cooperative and strategic play.
One of the highlights is the return of the classic Destiny 2 raid Crota’s End, arriving on January 3. Players once again descend onto the Moon to confront Crota, the Hive’s first god level enemy and the son of Oryx, the Taken King. This challenging encounter recreates the tense atmosphere of the original raid while adapting it for Destiny Rising’s systems. Players who overcome Crota will earn an exclusive clearance reward tied to the event.
Season 3 Act 1 also introduces a completely new Tower Defense mode titled Bulwark Ops, launching on December 30. After completing specific tasks, players can unlock solo play or three-player cooperative missions. Matches feature up to 30 waves of enemies, combining traditional shooting mechanics with strategic tower placement. Players earn points by defeating enemies, which they can spend on defensive structures, while additional towers unlock between stages to boost overall combat strength. Each battlefield presents distinct environments, encouraging players to adjust their strategies and tower choices.
To mark the new season, Destiny Rising is also granting players a guaranteed free unlock of Kabr, the Resolute. This powerful Mythic Arc character becomes available by completing designated operational activities.
With Season 3 Act 1, Destiny Rising continues to blend iconic Destiny content with new gameplay ideas, offering a richer and more varied experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.
