A Development Milestone for North Hunt
NewGen Studio has announced a major development milestone for North Hunt, its upcoming multiplayer social deception game set in a Norse-inspired world. This update marks a substantial overhaul and firmly positions North Hunt as a clear evolution beyond the studio’s earlier hit, West Hunt.
Instead of refining an existing formula, the development team rebuilt several core systems from the ground up. The studio focused on visual design, user experience, and online infrastructure to deliver a smoother, clearer, and more expressive gameplay experience. These changes reflect a more ambitious and polished vision for the project.

The most visible change appears in the game’s new visual identity. North Hunt abandons the blocky character models of West Hunt in favor of a more detailed and expressive art style. This shift improves visual clarity during tense deception moments and strengthens immersion within the Nordic-inspired setting.
NewGen Studio has also rebuilt the matchmaking system. Players now enter matches faster and with greater reliability, reducing wait times and lowering friction. The improved system supports both casual sessions and competitive play while maintaining stability.
Alongside these changes, the studio redesigned the entire user interface and user experience. Developers rebuilt menus, HUD elements, and navigation to prioritize clarity, legibility, and ease of use. This approach allows players to concentrate on strategy, deception, and social interaction rather than menu management.
Together, these improvements represent a decisive step forward for North Hunt. They demonstrate NewGen Studio’s commitment to long-term polish, technical stability, and player-focused design as the game moves into its next phase.
“North Hunt isn’t just building on West Hunt! it’s redefining it,” said Saif, CEO at NewGen Studio. “This phase of development represents everything we’ve learned from our community and from shipping a successful multiplayer title.”
