Join the Journey in Hirogami
Japanese independent publisher Kakehashi Games has announced the launch of Hirogami, an original origami-inspired platforming adventure created by Bandai Namco Studios Singapore. The game is now available for PC via Steam and on PlayStation 5. You can check out the official launch trailer below.
Set in the peaceful Shishiki Village, Hirogami follows the journey of Hiro. He is a courageous warrior tasked with protecting their fragile homeland from a menacing digital force known as the Blight. To combat these invaders, Hiro calls upon the ancient art of folding, transforming into various origami animal forms that bring unique abilities to the adventure.
Each form grants players new ways to approach the game’s platforming challenges and battles. Rolling into an Armadillo allows Hiro to smash through barriers and knock down enemies with brute force. As a powerful Ape, Hiro can swing through treetops and deliver heavy blows against pests. Taking the shape of a Frog offers the agility to leap to impressive heights and spit venom at foes, while the Bird form opens the skies, letting players soar above the landscapes with speed and grace. These transformations weave combat and puzzle-solving together, ensuring every stage feels dynamic and varied.
Hirogami blends action, creativity, and a touch of artistry, with its origami-inspired mechanics serving as both gameplay tools and a visual motif that sets the adventure apart.
The game is available for $29.99 USD, €28.99 EUR, and £24.49 GBP on Steam and the PlayStation Store. Players can now step into Hiro’s folded world and help defend Shishiki Village from the spreading darkness.
