Defeat the Dragon in Deadline Savior
Indie developer Cointinue Games is releasing the demo of Deadline Savior on August 5 at 1:00 PM (UTC+9) on Steam, aligning with the East Asia Indie Games Celebration. This unique RPG blends the Pomodoro Technique with turn-based combat, turning your real-world focus into in-game progress.
Deadline Savior is a perfect game for remote workers, creatives, and anyone battling deadlines. It transforms every 25-minute session of focused work into automated RPG gameplay. With each completed Pomodoro, your character explores new regions, battles enemies, and gathers resources while you stay productive.
Gameplay revolves around auto turn-based combat, gear upgrades, and skill development. The to-do list becomes your quest log, while focus becomes your greatest weapon. Players will challenge minions of the Procrastination Dragon and fight to save the collapsing Realm of Deadline.
The demo includes a single exploration map featuring four distinct biomes, boss encounters, and two playable classes: Paladin and Ranger. Expect around 30 to 40 hours of idle gameplay per run, complete with a basic skill tree, an equipment system, and ambient fantasy music designed to enhance concentration. The full Pomodoro system is integrated, offering a fresh way to manage time through play.
The demo is free to download and marks a new approach to productivity-based gaming. As part of the same celebration, Midnight Ramen, another title from Cointinue Games, is also available at its lowest ever price for a limited time.
