The Next Chapter of Cyberpunk Â
Getting a new look at an expansion for a game is fantastic. A cinematic trailer allows players to get a taste of what the expansion is bringing to the original game, from themes to possible weapons and more. Of course, a cinematic trailer can only be made better by having the likes of famous actor Idris Elba involved. Today, CD PROJEKT RED happily released a new cinematic trailer for the upcoming expansion for their hit RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, starring Idris Elba. Importantly the expansion, titled Phantom Liberty, reintroduces players to the world of Cyberpunk. However, this time, the expansion transitions the players from action shooter to spy thriller. A press release provides some more details on the expansion itself.Â
Phantom Liberty reintroduces players to cybernetic mercenary, V. Yet, now V will find themselves in an entirely new part of Night City: a world of spies. In addition to a whole new storyline to follow, players will also be introduced to entirely new ways to play the game. For instance, players can put new skill trees to use, use new weapons, and more. Additionally, players can look forward to an entirely reworked perk system and even revamped vehicle combat.Â
Of course, the new cinematic gives players a short intro to Phantom Liberty. The trailer, set seven years before the events of the expansion, stars Idris Elba and gives small hints into the story of the expansion. Check out the trailer below.Â
