Feel the Rage

Prepare to step into the shoes of a violent, rage-driven Android on a mission for revenge. Of course, she has the arsenal to get the job done. Today, Rogue Games is excited to unleash a new combat trailer for their slaughter-fest Metroidvania, Cookie Cutter. The game invites players to enter its ultra-violent universe and adventure through its 2D hand-painted story. A press release provides more details on the game. Additionally, the combat trailer shows off the absolutely brutal gameplay of the game.

Cookie Cutter

Cookie Cutter introduces players to android, Cherry. As Cherry, players will search for their beloved creator  Doctor Shinji Fallon. However, her quest won’t be unimpeded. Players will ravage and destroy a variety of unimaginable and horrifying creatures on her quest. Of course, she isn’t without her very own weapons and abilities. Chainsaws, plasma cannons, mecha fists, guitar slides, and more, are waiting to be used on Cherry’s victims. Importantly, the game is a Metroidvania that uses hand-drawn environments for its 2D action.

Furthermore, Cookie Cutter draws inspiration from many influences.  Japanese manga, Quentin Tarantino films, and H.P. Lovecraft can all be felt in the game’s unique universe. Especially the violent parts. Of course, gamers can check out the new combat trailer for a better look at the gorefest that awaits them in the game. View the combat trailer below.

Cookie Cutter is launching later this year on PC via Steam. Additionally, more information on the game is available on Rogue Games’ website. So, are you ready to bring the pain?
