Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened Remake Launching Next Month

Wake Me Up When March Ends

Frogwares is coming up on the release of their next game. Well, it is a remake of one of their earliest games, Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. This remake is a direct sequel to Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, which came out in 2021.

Reminiscent of The Sinking City, this mystery game leans all the way into Cthulu mythos. This is the first adventure of Holmes and Watson to deal with supernatural elements. Firmly believing that everything in the world can be explained through deduction and reason, Sherlock’s worldview is rocked by the events of this game.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

Many of the gameplay elements from Chapter One will be returning in The Awakened. While Eldritch themes are often disturbing and gruesome, it will be interesting to see Sherlock tackle otherworldly crimes and horrors. Do Eldritch gods even have concepts of law?

Part of the Sherlock Holmes games have included disguise or cosmetic elements. If you pre-order Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, you will get the Sleuth’s Attire Cosmetic Set. This includes three outfits with Sherlock as a priest, some sort of ruffian, and a proper gentleman’s suit. Other than the cosmetics, Frogwares promises a “content-complete” experience. This means there will be no DLC for the game.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened will be coming out on April 11th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
