Frogwares Unveils Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened In New Trailer
Sherlock Holmes is a very popular franchise based on a detective searching for solace in himself while solving crimes. Frogwares is a video game developer that has worked on various titles in the franchise for quite a while. Today, the company unveiled Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, a remake of a previous title. Furthermore, the developers created a Kickstarter account that fans can donate to. The game is set to release sometime in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
In the reveal trailer, fans are taken on a short journey through dark, murky swamp waters. Along the way, players meet important characters and can enjoy an ominous tune along with great graphics. Judging from the trailer, players can expect a dark, grim story that surrounds him.
In the game, players, as Sherlock Holmes, will find themselves investigating various disappearances across Europe and America. Additionally, players will experience lovecraft elements as a dark cult that worships an Ancient God may just be responsible for the kidnappings.
Besides investigating the Cthulhu Mythos, players will have to face difficult challenges and answer questions without much rationale while finding clues in locations such as London, Switzerland and Louisiana. Frogwares has remade the game from 2008 and as a result, players can expect improved graphics, controls and mechanics, along with side-quests, gameplay and much more.
