80s Slasher-Inspired Bloodwash Hits Consoles Next Month

Out Damned Spot!

The charm of classic 1980s horror movies lives on in many ways today. The narrative tropes can be found in games, like The Quarry. Bloodwash is another game with heavy homage to the slasher genre, down to the intentionally dated visuals.

PC players have already had Bloodwash on Steam for the past year. It came out in September of 2021 on PC and developer Puppet Combo has just announced a release date for consoles. In October, players on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S will be able to play a PS1-looking slasher.

Bloodwash

The story of Bloodwash is that there is a serial killer, the Womb Ripper, running around targeting pregnant women. Guess what kind of person you play as? Sara is a pregnant college student, who has some laundry to do. Her building’s machines break down, but she is informed of a nearby laundromat.

A single run of the game can be completed in about 2 hours. Thankfully, the game is not a full priced title. You can pick it up on Xbox or Nintendo Switch for just $10. The graphics may be scary to look at, but there will be no shortage of gore for fans.

Bloodwash is available now for PC. It will be coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 12th.
