Kojima Production’s Death Stranding Set To Launch On PC Game Pass
Kojima Productions and 505 Games launched Death Stranding, a unique adventure game, for PlayStation 4 in 2019. The companies then released the game on PC and a Director’s Cut for PlayStation 5. Today, Microsoft along with the companies have announced that the game will be heading to the Xbox Game Pass for PC on August 23rd, 2022.
In the game, players will hop into a world created by Hideo Kojima starring Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen and Lindsay Wagner. In the future, mysterious explosions have led to a series of supernatural events, the Death Stranding. Sam Porter Bridges, played by Norman Reedus as the protagonist, must travel across the wasteland to save humanity. Along the way, players will meet various creatures and experience an emotional, unique story.
PC users will be able to experience extensive features such as ultrawide mode, photo mode, high frame rates and cross-over content from other franchises. Furthermore, the PC Game Pass version will include unlockable items such as Gold and Silver Armor Plate, Power Skeleton and All-Terrain Skeleton.
Additionally, Microsoft in its release, has stated that it will answer further fan questions in its community Q & A segment. In closing, the company notes its excitement to bring more games to the platform and continue to port titles from PlayStation. The trend of exclusive games from Sony hitting PC is amazing news and fans should hope that it continues with Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and more!
