Sea of Thieves Celebrates 4th Anniversary This Weekend
Sea of Thieves is celebrating its fourth anniversary on March 21st. As part of the celebration, players will get the opportunity to obtain double XP as well as access to an Emporium Sale.
All Sea of Thieves players who log into the game between now and 10am on March 21st may get a Golden Sailor Wheel accessory for their ship. Larinna’s and merchant Alliance shops will also have some exclusive stocks. Furthermore, the Golden Sailor Cannon Flare and the commemorative Anniversary Firework Crate will be on sale in the shops throughout the weekend.
“To mark our fourth anniversary weekend, it is raining rewards across the Sea of Thieves from now 10am GMT March 18th until 10am GMT March 21st,” devs announced on social media.
Sea of Thieves fans who want to increase their Renown and reputation can participate in the Gold & Glory Weekend event. Everyone who takes part in this event will be getting multiple opportunities to earn double the amount of gold. Players can get all of these bonuses as they work their way through Season Six’s 100 tiers.
The anniversary bonuses do not end there. The Pirate Emporium will also have a discount this weekend. The discount period is reportedly focused on the Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life expansion. This expansion was actually a previous crossover with Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The crossover featured iconic characters such as Captain Jack Sparrow and Captain Barbossa, as well as pets, special emotes, and exclusive themed ship sets.
The Rare Store is also giving away a 20% discount on quite a few Sea of Thieves items this anniversary weekend. Players can get different types of shoes, clothing, and Gold-Plated Ingots at a discount. They will just have to use the ANNIVERSARY20 code at checkout to get the discounted prices.
