Hogwarts Legacy Might Launch This September
Hogwarts Legacy devs have already previously confirmed that the game is on track to launch some time this year. Unfortunately, Warner Media CEO Jason Kilar did not provide any information on exactly when this is going to be. Thankfully, there is new information that suggests it could be out as soon as September.
A Harry Potter art book, The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy is due on September 6th. Coincidentally, September 1st is also Back to Hogwarts Day. Having a September release date for Hogwarts Legacy is only fitting.
However, it is worth noting that neither of these things actually officially confirm that devs will release the game in September. After all, they can very easily decide to delay the game well into next year.
“I am hearing behind the scenes that the game is not coming out this year,” an insider revealed. “That it is in some sort of trouble.” The insider did not reveal what this trouble could possibly be.
Still, this has not deterred Hogwarts Legacy fans from hoping that the game will launch this year. After all, an update on Wizarding World Digital did say that “2022 is also the year when the highly anticipated console game from Warner Bros. Games’ Portkey Games label Hogwarts Legacy is set to be released.”
“This action RPG allows players to be at the center of their own adventure set during the late 1800s wizarding world,” the update read. “This game will allow players to experience the magical world as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before as they determine the fate of the entire wizarding world.”
Players will learn powerful spells, brew potions, hone their combat skills, and tame any magical beasts.
The gaming public first heard about Hogwarts Legacy in September 2020. At the time, the game was set to release in January 2021. Avalanche Software then confirmed that they decided to delay until 2022 to give “the game the time it needs.”
