Children of Morta Is Getting Online Co-op Later This Month
Children of Morta was already a fantastic rogue-lite when it first launched. Now, at the tail end of eight free updates, the game is a must-play if you are a fan of the genre. The fast-paced action and constant upgrades makes it a very rewarding experience. Once this update launches, I’ll almost certainly hop back in to play a bit with a friend. These types of games are a blast to play with others.
Children of Morta’s final free update releases on Steam on February 14. This update, titled The Fellowship Sanctuary, will add the much anticipated online co-op. You will now be able to go through the different dungeons with a friend. What game isn’t better when you can play with a friend?
While Children of Morta co-op will be hitting PC on February 14, the console versions need a bit more work. There isn’t currently a set release date for the console versions. It’s best that they take their time and release it whenever they feel it is ready. I want everyone to be able to enjoy a similar experience.
It’s always great to see a game receive such dedicated post-launch support. Fans always have a reason to jump back in, and devs get to work on a game they love. Even with many games getting post-launch support, an indie game like Children of Morta receiving a solid eight free updates is impressive. These updates certainly help elevate an already great game and give players, new and old, a great reason to jump back in.
