Crytek’s Crysis Remastered Trilogy Has Officially Launched Today On Various Platforms
Crytek’s Crysis series once set the standard for graphics in video games as its initial launches pushed PCs to the limits and created beautiful worlds. Crysis first launched in 2007 and took the world by storm, with its successors, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 launching in 2011 and 2013 respectively. Today, Crytek have officially released the Crysis Remastered Trilogy which consists of single-player remasters of Crysis, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3. Interested persons can also choose to purchase Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 individually.
The Crysis Remastered Trilogy launches on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC via the Epic Games Store and the Nintendo Switch. Physical editions for the Xbox and PlayStation platforms are available at retailers and it includes an exclusive art card. The game is currently priced at $49.99USD/$49.99EUR.
Crysis 2 and 3 can be purchased individually on the platforms for the price of $29.99USD/$29.99EUR.
The Remastered Trilogy comes with a ton of upgrades over the originals, as expected. The games keep the thrilling fights and fun gameplay but has improved the lighting, characters, weapons, environments, and textures. The next-gen consoles and PC have had substantial visual upgrades, as the hardware can be pushed to its limit.
On the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC, players can run the game at 1080p and 4k at up to 60 FPS. Crysis is going to look better than ever before!
Crysis follows the story of a super-soldier known only as Nomad, who is equipped with a powerful nanosuit that gives him special abilities. Of course, Nomad also has a ton of weapons to help him along the way. Across the trilogy, Nomad will fight in various locations as he fends off threats to humankind.
