August for Aloy
All you non-PS4 owners, there is some good news. Horizon: Zero Dawn – Complete Edition comes to PC next month. Finally, PS4 players have one less exclusive they can hold over our heads. I mean they still have Uncharted, The Last of Us, Marvel’s Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, and God of War… But we’re getting Horizon, dammit! And that’s cause for happiness. The Horizon: Zero Down release date for the PC was announced today, alongside a trailer of all the bells and whistles it comes with. There is nothing new or exclusive, just a lot of shinies.
The PS4 is a powerhouse and capable of running really pretty games. Horizon: Zero Dawn is pretty on PS4, but the trailer for the PC version is practically daring us to push the limits of the game’s visuals. The PC version supports ultra-wide resolution, unlocked framerates, reflective surfaces like water are also improved, and the gorgeous foliage looks even gorge-er. In the settings menu, players can customize the graphical options to their specifications with sliders and switches controlling FOV, aspect ratio, the number of monitors you want to use, and others. Horizon: Zero Dawn supports controllers and customizable key mappings.
All of that is nice and all, but as primarily an Xbox One user, I just want to play this game. Of course, it wouldn’t be the Complete Edition if it didn’t include the Frozen Wilds DLC. Horizon: Zero Dawn – Complete Edition comes to PC on Steam and Epic Games Store on August 7th.
