Call of Cthulu and Star Wars Battlefront Games With Gold in February
Microsoft has announced their upcoming free Games with Gold in February, including the mysterious Call of Cthulu and the original Star Wars Battlefront. The four games releasing for Games with Gold next month are Star Wars Battlefront and Fable Heroes as the two backwards compatible titles; giving modern gamers free access to some true classics, and the two current-gen titles releasing are the mysterious Call of Cthulu and the racing game TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge. Xbox Live Gold is $10 per month, or $15 included with Game Pass Ultimate.
Each of the titles releasing for Games with Gold next month are vastly different. Fable Heroes is a hack-and-slash adventure where up to four players can play competitively or cooperate. There are enemies that are familiar to the Fable franchise for heroes to defeat but the gameplay adds a fresh new take to the historic Xbox series. Star Wars Battlefront is the game that kicked off the Battlefront series, featuring battles from the original six Star Wars movies. Gamers will fight on the front lines with numerous weapons and vehicles at their disposal. This title unfortunately won’t feature online support, meaning gamers will be able to side with the Empire or Rebellion, but can’t take the fight online.
TT Isle of Man is a motorcycle racing game that includes the challenging Snaefell mountain course. 37.73 miles in length, the course will challenge the skills and reflexes of the most seasoned racing fan. Call of Cthulu is fittingly based on the world that H.P. Lovecraft wrote about in the early 1900’s. The title is a suspenseful mystery that is based on a classic pen and paper RPG.
