I, for One, Welcome Our New Alien Overlords
As you may well know, the mid 2000s classic Destroy All Humans game is being remade. Publisher THQ Nordic has been pretty quiet about this title since its announcement, but now we have information about the different editions. There is the Standard, DNA Collector’s Edition, and Crypto-137 Edition named after the game’s protagonist. Here we will detail what comes with the Destroy All Humans Crypto-137 Edition and DNA Collector’s Edition. They cost a lot of money, but then again, currency is such a primitive concept anyway.
The Standard Edition, as you can imagine, comes with just the game. It can probably go without saying at this point. The DNA Collector’s Edition is where it really ramps up. Both the DNA Collector’s and Crypto-137 Editions come with a yellow alien head keychain, an eye-popping Alien Stressball, 6 Lithographs, and all in-game Crypto skins, likely in the form of DLC codes. Exclusive to the DNA Collector’s Edition is a statue of Crypto emerging from a crashed saucer, with a cow being beamed up. It stands at about 23 cm high. The DNA Collector’s Edition comes in a box with the game’s art on it.
The Crypto-137 Edition comes with everything above with the exception of the statue. Instead, it comes with a different statue of Crypto leaning one off his weapons and holding a globe. This statue stands 60 cm tall. It also comes with a Crypto backpack. It looks like he is riding the wearer á la Yoda in Empire Strikes Back. Like the previous edition, all this comes in a box, but with different art. Here comes the pain; the cost. The DNA Collector’s Edition comes in at $150 USD and the Crypto-137 Edition cost $400 USD. Oof. The Destroy All Humans remake is slated for a 2020 release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
