New Features Await in Fatekeeper
Paraglacial and THQ Nordic have released a new update for Fatekeeper, bringing several improvements to the first-person action RPG currently available in Early Access on Steam. The latest patch focuses on gameplay adjustments, performance improvements, and quality-of-life features, with full controller support being one of its biggest additions.
Players can now enjoy Fatekeeper with controller support, although the developers say some menus still need a little extra polish. The update also expands language support with five new options: German, French, Russian, Ukrainian, and Simplified Chinese.
There are plenty of gameplay changes to check out as well. The patch introduces new clubs and amulets, alongside a redesigned inventory system featuring an alchemy belt. Treasure chests should also feel more rewarding, while movement speed has increased by roughly 15%. Players can expect stronger spells and traps, and enemy archers have received adjustments to make their attacks less frustrating.
Combat has also received some attention, with bloodier and more visceral melee encounters. Those who prefer a clearer view during challenging fights can now enable optional health bars for boss enemies. On the technical side, an Unreal Engine update and improvements to the Medium graphics settings should help the game run more smoothly across a wider range of systems.
Meanwhile, players who haven’t picked up Fatekeeper yet might want to consider doing so soon. Its Steam price will increase to $14.99 / €14.99 on November 6, 2026.
Although this update doesn’t introduce new content, these improvements should make the adventure more enjoyable. The developers are already working on future additions, so there could be more reasons to return to Fatekeeper soon.
