Photo mode is the new hotness in AAA games. You spend years making a gorgeous world to rip around in, you want people to stop and enjoy it. It’s getting to the point that you can’t release a sexy new game without the ability to capture heart-stopping screenshots. To that end Days Gone is absolutely getting a photo mode.
Not to be outdone by the rest of AAA gaming, the developers at Bend Studio have made the best dang picture-snappin’ setup they possibly can. Players will have access to custom frames, logos, and 18 different filters. There’s also going to be 55 different settings you can mess with to perfect your photos once they’ve been taken. These pictures will be gorgeous, damn it!
Plus, unlike some other games, this feature will be available on launch day. None of this waiting around for a patch, no sir! Players will be snapping sexcellent shots of this bleak-ass, beautiful world right out the gate! A more cynical pundit would reflect on how this system is the perfect way to generate advertising and hype for a brand new game in a way that seems organic and genuine. But that would be hopelessly bitter of me. Days Gone is coming to the PS4 on April 26th.
