Free Starter Pack for Hitman 2 Available Now

Give Murder a Shot in the Hitman 2 Starter Ad

Not to be cynical, but this kind of thing usually happens when a game isnโ€™t selling well, which is a shame because the recent Hitman games are masterclasses in game design.

The free starter pack is available on all platforms that Hitman 2 itself is, and includes the gameโ€™s first mission set in Hawkeโ€™s Bay, New Zealand, along with all of the gameโ€™s difficulty options. IO promises that all your progress will carry over to the full game โ€œwhenโ€ you choose to buy it.

Thereโ€™s also a nifty elusive target mission for players to check out โ€“ for the uninitiated, an elusive target is a target you only get one shot (literally or figuratively, you choose) to take out. In this case, that target is โ€œa disgraced former New Zealand Minister of Trade and Foreign Affairs who was forced to resign after the discovery of her charity funneling funds to her offshore interests.โ€ Sheโ€™ll have a body double roaming the level as well, so be careful to take out the right target, lest you never get the chance again.

If youโ€™re looking to start from the start, Hitman 2016 is free through PS+ for the next few days until the new games kick in, and is available on Xbox Game Pass as well. Let us know if youโ€™ll be checking it out in the comments!
