Enjoy 007 First Light on the Go
IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios have confirmed that 007 First Light will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027. The announcement arrived alongside a new gameplay trailer showcasing James Bond’s reimagined origin story running on Nintendo’s hybrid console. Pre-orders are now open through the Nintendo Store, Amazon, and selected retailers.
The developers previously announced additional development time to ensure the game meets the expected quality standards. Since then, IO Interactive has presented playable builds at gamescom and Tokyo Game Show, allowing players and press to experience Bond’s latest adventure on Nintendo hardware. According to the studio, feedback from both events has been positive.
The team will continue working on optimisation and performance over the coming months to ensure a smooth experience when the game arrives on Switch 2.
Players can also pre-order the 007 First Light Deluxe Edition for $69.99, €69.99, or £69.99. This edition includes early access to the GoldenEye Suit, along with four gadgets: the Gleaming Lighter, Gleaming Earphones, Gleaming Dart Gun, and Gleaming Pen. It also features four additional outfits: Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator. Meanwhile, the Switch 2 Special Edition is available exclusively through Amazon in the US and includes the Classic Tuxedo.
007 First Light is already out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
With its new trailer offering another look at Bond’s origin story, the upcoming Switch 2 release gives Nintendo players a chance to experience IO Interactive’s take on the legendary spy. The remaining development time will be crucial in ensuring the game delivers a polished experience at launch.
