Play Overwatch for Free Starting Next Week
Blizzard has announced a new free trial period for their super popular hero shooter, Overwatch. From November 20th to the 26th, gamers on PC, PS4, and Xbox One can download and play Overwatch all week long.
In order to dive in, youโll need to make sure you either have a PS Plus subscription for PS4, an Xbox Live Gold membership for Xbox, or a Blizzard account for PC. Once thatโs in order, you can download the game for free.
If for whatever reason you havenโt given Overwatch a spin yet, this would be a perfect time. For one, the entire roster of 29 heroes โ including new character Ashe โ will be available as well as all 19 maps. You can take part in a variety of modes such as Quick Play, Custom Games, and the Arcade. You can level up, earn loot boxes, and unlock all those different character customizations present throughout the game. So yeah, itโs the full experience!
The best part is that all of your saved progress from the Free Trial can be moved over to the full version if you decide to buy Overwatch afterwards. Trust us, once youโve had a taste of Overwatch (in this case itโs more like a big fat meal) youโll want to fork out the cash. Additionally, players with linked Blizzard and Twitch accounts can watch two hours of Overwatch streams throughout the free trial period to earn three Ashe-themed sprays.
Blizzard made the announcement in a blog post early so that players can start pre-loading the game now before the free trial begins. That way, once November 20th rolls around, you can jump in right away. The trial begins at 20:00 CET and will end on the 27th at 8:59 CET in supported regions across all platforms. You can check out Blizzardโs post for more information.
