God of War is a soft reboot for the franchise, taking Kratos out of his Greek Mythology roots after the end of the original trilogy and placing him deep in the world of Norse myth. Older and wiser, Kratos has learned to control and temper his anger as he teaches his young son Atreus how to survive.
Santa Monica Studio’s has reinvented the iconic series, taking the game from its highly linear hack and slash roots and changing the formula giving us more of an open world with RPG elements, skill testing combat, abilities to unlock and stats to increase. The game has met with widespread critical acclaim, with our own review giving it a 95. God of War is availalbe now and is exclusive to the PlayStation 4.
