Totaku Collection Coming Soon
Coming from Think Geek is the new Totaku Collection, a series of figurines that feature prominent characters from PlayStation franchises. The first series features Crash Bandicoot, Kratos from God of War (not pictured), the Hunter from Bloodborne, Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, Heihachi from Tekken, Parappa the Rapper, and the Feisar FX350 from Wipeout.
We previously reported that a Detective Pikachu amiibo will release alongside its own game later this year, but while the Totaku figures definitely appear to look similar to Nintendo’s amiibo figurines, these ones do not contain an NFC chip. The figures will have a fixed base, which can be joined with other figures through an interlocking mechanism. These highly detailed figurines stand at 10cm tall and will have multiple series that will release in the future. The Totaku figures appear to be incredibly detailed, and we hope that the final products reflect the quality in the promotional materials.
For those interested, these figurines will be sold exclusively at GameStop for $9.99. The first series will release on March 23, 2018 and we are excited to see more in the future. For collectors, this first series of Totaku will be specially marked with a first edition symbol, so keep an eye out for that. We anticipate that characters such as Nathan Drake from Uncharted and Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn will have their own figurines at some point.
