The 3 Best and 3 Worst Games From August 2017

The Worst List

Original Journey

Unfortunately, one game every month has the poorly distinction of being our lowest rated game of the month. This month, Original Journey scored the lowest among games we covered. Marred by being super repetitive with frustrating mechanics and the fact that half the weapons are useless, Original Journey, sadly, is far from being an original journey.

Redeemer

While Redeemer is a 2017 take on brawlers, much will be needed in order to redeem this game. Although there are a lot of weapons and ways to defeat enemies, the game feels old and becomes tedious. The game suffers from the problem that if released much earlier, the game would have done better. Overall, Redeemer is not a bad game, but one that could have succeeded in the market a few years prior.

Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star Review

Based on the visual novel world of the popular Fate series, The Umbral Star appeared fated for success. Unfortunately, the game simply was not newbie-friendly and featuring long, heavy cutscenes without as much gameplay. As a fan of some of the related works, the series definitely has the capabilities to have successful games in a variety of genres. However, that is not the case at this point as The Umbral Star falls within our three worst games of the month.
