Springs, Eternal Brings Its Mysterious Hot Springs Horror to Steam This November

Witness the Horror in Springs, Eternal

Serenity Forge and Fullbright are inviting players to take a trip to a secluded hot springs resort where something feels very wrong. The studios have announced that Springs, Eternal, a lo-fi first-person narrative adventure, will launch on PC via Steam on November 11, 2026.

The studios revealed the release date during the Horror Game Awards’ Harvest of Terror Showcase. Players won’t have to wait until November to see what awaits them, either, as a free demo is now available on Steam. The game will also be part of Steam Next Fest, which runs from October 19 to 26.

Set among fog-covered mountains, Springs, Eternal takes players to the mysterious Stillwater Springs, a secluded retreat filled with winding paths, hidden pools, dark caverns, and strange attractions. Exploring the resort at night introduces players to more than a dozen unusual guests, each with their own stories to uncover through branching conversations.

But there’s more to the trip than simply getting to know the guests. As players dig deeper, fragmented memories begin revealing the romantic relationship that brought the protagonist to Stillwater Springs. Eventually, past and present start bleeding together, forcing players to piece together the truth behind their connection to the resort.

The game combines eerie supernatural elements with shimmering pixel visuals and dithered fog, creating an unsettling lo-fi atmosphere. Conversations also play a major role, with information learned from one character potentially unlocking new interactions elsewhere.

With its mysterious setting, strange characters, and unsettling story, Springs, Eternal looks like a fascinating trip for fans of atmospheric narrative games. Just remember: you might not be able to die here, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re safe.
