Wishlist Sister Other Paranoia Now on Steam
Serenity Forge has officially revealed Sister Other Paranoia, a new dark visual novel coming to Steam from studio HazeDenki. Alongside the announcement, the team also released a new trailer, offering a first look at the game’s unsettling tone and surreal presentation.
Sister Other Paranoia follows the story of a quiet first-year university student who possesses an unusual ability to perceive the “colors” of people’s emotions. Struggling with a harsh home environment and overwhelmed by the noise of daily life, he retreats into isolation with his kind and talented younger sister. As he spends most of his time reading and writing his own light novel, his sense of peace slowly unravels.
As feelings of envy and hostility begin to surround him both online and offline, the protagonist’s mental state deteriorates. What starts as discomfort gradually evolves into something darker. And he finds himself battling disturbing, violent urges toward those around him.
Blending a retro-inspired “denpa” horror aesthetic with psychological storytelling, the game places heavy emphasis on player choice. Dialogue decisions shape how the protagonist reacts to others, influencing relationships and ultimately leading characters down different, often unsettling paths.
To mark the announcement, Serenity Forge has confirmed that the studio will appear at Anime Expo next month. They will also be joined by creator Nyalra. The event will include a panel, autograph session, and merchandise for fans of Sister Other Paranoia and NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE.
With its eerie premise and choice-driven narrative, Sister Other Paranoia is something to keep an eye on for all psychological horror fans.
