Help the Good Boys in Puppergeist
Developer and publisher Serenity Forge has unveiled Puppergeist for Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox PC during the IGN and ID@Xbox October Showcase. The announcement came with a new trailer and Steam page, giving players an early glimpse of this heartfelt rhythm visual novel.
Puppergeist tells a bittersweet story about the unconditional love shared between humans and their pets. Players follow Claire, a young witch searching for her lost dog in the mysterious Doggie Underworld. Along the way, she meets other canine spirits, listens to their stories, and helps them find peace through rhythm-based mini games. It is full of expressive animations and emotional moments. Each rhythm challenge is unique, taking inspiration from the Rhythm Heaven series. There are also remixes and bonus features that keep the experience fresh and engaging.
Joining Claire on her journey is Lunne, a mischievous demon companion who helps her understand the bond between people and their pets. Together, they uncover touching tales of friendship, loss, and devotion, blending lighthearted fun with emotional storytelling.
Developed entirely in-house by Serenity Forge, the game’s creative direction and art are led by NomnomNami. The soundtrack features contributions from guest composers, including Kris Wilson, co-creator of Cyanide & Happiness, with more collaborators yet to be revealed.
A heartfelt tribute to beloved pets both past and present, Puppergeist invites players to explore, feel, and remember. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam and Xbox.
