We May Finally Know How Long Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Will Be
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 could be gearing up for another two-hour adventure, according to a newly spotted listing. The upcoming live-action sequel is scheduled to hit cinemas next March. However, the official details remain under wraps, but this latest discovery gives fans another reason to get excited.
As highlighted by Sonic Stadium and spotted by our source (Thanks, Nintendo Life), a listing on the Entertainment Identifier Registry (EIDR) suggests Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will run about two hours. The entry was reportedly created and updated in July, and it also names returning director Jeff Fowler alongside cast members Jim Carrey and James Marsden.
While Paramount Pictures has yet to officially confirm the runtime, the reported length wouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The previous live-action Sonic movies have all landed around the two-hour mark. It also delivered the franchise’s mix of action, comedy, and fan-favourite characters.
The sequel is also shaping up to be an exciting one for longtime fans. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 teased Metal Sonic and Amy Rose, with Kristen Bell set to voice the latter. Ben Schwartz will return as Sonic, alongside Idris Elba as Knuckles, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, and Keanu Reeves as Shadow.
With filming wrapped and the cast taking shape, anticipation is already building for Sonic’s next big-screen outing.
If the two-hour runtime proves accurate, fans can expect another action-packed ride with plenty of room for the characters to shine. Now, the big question is how Metal Sonic and Amy Rose will shake things up when Sonic and his friends return to cinemas next March.
