Almost Time to Run a Funeral Home in Grave Mistakes
Running a funeral home is already a difficult job, but Grave Mistakes takes things to a whole new level. Developer Happy Volcano and publisher Oro Interactive have revealed their upcoming co-op horror comedy, which lets up to four players work together to keep a very unusual family business running. The announcement also comes along with a new trailer that you can check out right below.
In Grave Mistakes, players take over a local funeral home that has been operated by their family for generations. Unfortunately, the business has a rather unusual problem: Grandma is a monster living in the basement, and she needs a steady supply of body parts to stay satisfied.
Each day brings new bodies to the funeral home, and players must perform autopsies while fulfilling Grandma’s increasingly strange requests. Since the parts aren’t always easy to find, creativity becomes essential. Players can replace an arm with a shovel, a leg with a skateboard, or a missing head with a basketball complete with a photo taped to it.
At the same time, players need to prepare bodies for funerals, welcome grieving families, and make sure nothing looks suspicious before the ceremonies begin. As the funeral home attracts more customers, players can earn money and unlock upgrades, but handling multiple funerals also means more opportunities for things to go horribly wrong. At the end of each day, the family gathers for dinner in the basement. If Grandma doesn’t get what she wants, someone might become the main course.
Grave Mistakes is coming to Steam later this year. Players can wishlist the game and sign up for the playtest to get an early look at this bizarre funeral home.
