Command Your Followers in Worship
Worship is officially leaving Early Access this year, with the Pikmin-inspired roguelike set to launch on PC and PlayStation 5 on November 4, 2026. Additional platforms are also planned for 2027.
Developed by Chasing Rats Games as a dark and unusual mix of real-time strategy, exploration, puzzles, and roguelike progression, Worship puts players in the role of a cult leader serving an eldritch god of their choice. Players will build an army of devoted followers and lead them through dangerous open-world environments while attempting to prove their loyalty.
The game originally entered Steam Early Access in July 2025 and has since developed a dedicated player community. Its full release will expand on the experience with plenty of opportunities to explore, fight, and grow your cult.
Much of Worship’s gameplay revolves around commanding followers who are willing to sacrifice themselves for the cause. Players can also draw blood symbols directly onto the ground to unleash powerful eldritch rituals against enemies. However, powerful bosses can quickly turn the tables and bring an entire run to an end.
The game’s roguelite progression system, called Eldritch Prophecies, allows players to complete challenges during runs to unlock new gods, abilities, skins, and other rewards. Meanwhile, its vast open areas offer plenty of room to explore and corrupt.
Worship also stands out visually with hand-drawn animations and a distinctive black-and-white art style accented by occasional splashes of color.
With its unusual combination of cute follower management and unsettling eldritch themes, Worship could offer something genuinely different when it launches this November.
