Serenity Sketch Brings Playful Self-Care to iPad This October

Find Peaceful Creativity in Serenity Sketch

Copper Coin has announced that Serenity Sketch, its debut commercial game, will launch on iPad on October 6, 2026. Players will be able to try the first two Practices for free through a demo on the App Store, while the complete experience will be available through a single in-app purchase.

Serenity Sketch

Described as a guided painting experience, Serenity Sketch combines the relaxing nature of art with ideas inspired by Zen principles. Players paint with water on stones while exploring peaceful natural environments and following guidance from a narrated voice.

The twist is that nothing they create lasts forever. Each painting gradually disappears, encouraging players to let go of mistakes instead of worrying about creating something perfect. The Practices are designed to help players relax, explore their creativity, and become less critical of their own work.

According to founder Joshua Veit, the idea came from his own experience with meditation. After leaving a career in finance in 2022, Veit discovered that meditation helped him reconnect with creativity. That experience eventually inspired him to explore how games could become a more playful form of introspection and self-care.

Early playtesters have already described Serenity Sketch as “guided art therapy” and “Zen painting,” while others said it genuinely helped them relax. Some players also found themselves becoming more comfortable with creativity, moving away from the idea that they simply “aren’t artists.”

With its focus on relaxation, creativity, and letting go, Serenity Sketch could offer a refreshing change of pace when it arrives on iPad this October.
