Go Ahead and Grab Your SupaBoy Right Now
Hyperkin has officially opened pre-orders for two new versions of its popular SupaBoy Portable Retro Gaming Console. The SupaBoy Crimson and SupaBoy Prime will launch in the US and Europe on October 28, 2026, giving retro gaming fans fresh collectible designs inspired by the Super Famicom era.

Designed for authentic 16-bit gaming, the portable console plays original Super Nintendo and Super Famicom cartridges without relying on emulation, ROM downloads, online accounts, or firmware updates. It also supports PAL, NTSC, and Japanese cartridges, making it compatible with games from multiple regions.
Both new models include a 4.3-inch IPS display for sharp visuals and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 10 hours of gameplay on a single charge. Players can also connect the handheld to a compatible TV using the built-in AV output, while two front-facing controller ports make local multiplayer possible with original or compatible controllers.
The standout difference is the design. The limited-edition SupaBoy Crimson features a translucent finish inspired by the original Japanese Famicom and marks the beginning of Hyperkin’s planned annual limited-color series. Meanwhile, the SupaBoy Prime adopts the iconic color palette of the Japanese and European Super Famicom, complete with a premium translucent shell.
The new Crimson and Prime editions replace the current SupaBoy lineup and are now available for pre-order. Hyperkin has set the suggested retail price at $129.99 / €129.99 / £119.99, with shipping scheduled to begin on October 28, 2026. So, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and pre-order your awesome retro console right now.
