Patlabor the Case Files Is Coming to Anime Exo
Good Smile Company has released the third official trailer for Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files, giving fans another look at the upcoming 3D action game ahead of its Summer 2026 launch on PlayStation 5 and PC. Alongside the new footage, the company also announced a second wave of pre-orders for the game’s limited Special Edition and confirmed its presence at Anime Expo 2026.
Based on the classic Mobile Police Patlabor series, the game lets players relive some of the franchise’s most memorable moments. Set in a future where giant industrial robots known as Labors have become part of everyday life, the story follows the Tokyo Metropolitan Police’s Special Vehicles Section 2 as they tackle the growing threat of Labor-related crime using their own Patlabor units.
The latest trailer highlights the game’s three main modes: Main Mission, Another Side Mission, and Simulator Mode. It also offers a closer look at gameplay, fully voiced story scenes featuring Special Vehicles Section 2 Division 2, and several new in-game moments that have not been shown before.
Due to strong demand, Good Smile Company has reopened pre-orders for the Special Edition. It includes the exclusive MODEROID Griffon the Case Files Color Ver. plastic model kit, along with a first-print bonus Original Soundtrack CD featuring 30 tracks, including the opening theme composed by renowned composer Kenji Kawai. The edition will be available while supplies last.
Fans attending Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles will also be able to watch the new trailer at the Good Smile Company booth. However, there will be no playable demo or merchandise available during the event.
With a fresh trailer, a collector’s edition returning, and a major convention appearance on the way, Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files is steadily building excitement ahead of its release next summer.
