Experience the Underwater Nightmare in Earth Atlantis Abyss
The depths are calling, and they don’t look particularly welcoming. Pixel Perfex and Eccentrix Studios have announced Earth Atlantis Abyss, a new roguelike shoot ’em up that sends players into the flooded world of the Earth Atlantis series. Rising Tide Publishing plans to launch the game on PC via Steam in Q1 2027.
Players step into the role of Pypher, a 17-year-old captain determined to uncover the truth behind her grandfather’s mysterious disappearance. Three years ago, he took a submarine into the same abyss and never returned. Some call him a hero, others a rebel or even a traitor. Pypher intends to find out which story is true.
Her journey takes her through seven increasingly dangerous layers of the drowned world. Light becomes a precious resource as the darkness closes in, forcing players to carefully balance exploration and survival. Each layer ends with a major battle, with eight bullet-hell bosses waiting throughout the descent.
Between battles, players can customize their submarine using weapons, engines, drones, and hull modules that must fit into a limited grid. Matching parts can be merged to upgrade them, while different weapons can be fused into hybrids using Dwarf Stars collected from bosses. Heat and power management will also play a major role during combat.
With a dangerous descent, customizable submarines, and plenty of bullet-hell chaos, Earth Atlantis Abyss could make every run feel like a completely different trip into the unknown.
