BrainWash: Zombie Cleanup Turns Zombie Slaying Into a Messy Cleaning Job

Welcome to Raincoat Industry in BrainWash: Zombie Cleanup

What happens when the zombie apocalypse is almost over, and someone still has to clean up the aftermath? HazGames has the answer with BrainWash: Zombie Cleanup, a quirky new game that combines zombie killing, survival, and good old-fashioned cleaning. The solo-developed title is coming to Steam in Q2 2027, with its Steam page now live.

Set in a retro 1950s-inspired world, BrainWash: Zombie Cleanup puts players to work at Raincoat Industries, where the undead outbreak is winding down. There’s just one problem: plenty of zombies are still shambling around, and someone has to deal with them before the cleanup can begin.

Players will head into contaminated areas armed with weapons to put the remaining zombies down. But that’s only half the job. Once the shooting stops, it’s time to grab a mop and start scrubbing away the consequences.

The cleanup work includes washing blood off floors, power-washing filthy surfaces, collecting trash, and hauling away body parts. Players can tackle these jobs alone or bring friends along for some cooperative zombie cleanup chaos.

Completing jobs also earns money that can be spent on better weapons, tools, and equipment, allowing players to take on increasingly demanding cleanup assignments.

BrainWash: Zombie Cleanup certainly puts an unusual spin on the zombie genre. After all, surviving the apocalypse is one thing. Cleaning up after it is a whole different job.
