Darkenstein 3D Is Launching Its Total Trampage DLC on 14 October

The Mayhem Will Continue in Darkenstein 3D

MicroProse and solo developer Rowye have officially announced that Darkenstein 3D: Total Trampage will launch on Steam on October 14, 2026. The paid DLC expands the free retro FPS with a hefty dose of fresh content, and a newly released trailer offers a glimpse at the chaos waiting for players.

Rather than adding a few extra stages, Total Trampage reimagines much of the original experience. The expansion introduces five heavily remixed campaign levels, complete with redesigned layouts, new enemy encounters, and hidden secrets for returning players to uncover.

The biggest addition is Endless Mode, which features 11 dedicated maps where players must survive relentless waves of enemies for as long as possible. Alongside that comes a collection of new weapons, tougher enemy types, challenge modifiers that shake up each run, and a New Game+ mode that lets players tackle the campaign with their unlocked gear.

The DLC also includes a jukebox with new music tracks and a fresh batch of achievements for completionists looking to master every challenge.

Inspired by classic shooters like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Darkenstein 3D follows the Hobo Guy as he battles through enemy territory to rescue his kidnapped dog, Gunther. The base game remains free to play on Steam, while Total Trampage requires the original game to access its new content.

If you’ve already blasted your way through the original campaign, this expansion looks like a great excuse to dive back in for another round of fast-paced, blood-soaked retro action.
