New Features Await in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have released the Confrontation Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, marking the final major content update of the game’s second year. Available now as a free update for all players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, Patch 14 introduces a wide range of new content while also delivering the final Season Pass 2 cosmetic DLCs.

The biggest focus of the update is on the game’s PvP experience. Eternal War now features two brand-new maps, Sanctum and Facility, expanding the multiplayer battlefield with fresh locations to fight across. Players can also earn new Weekly PvP rewards by completing matches and Datavault challenges, unlocking Accolades and exclusive cosmetic items.
Outside of PvP, Patch 14 introduces a dangerous new Chaos foe: the Thousand Sons’ Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer. This powerful Terminus enemy can now appear in Chaos Operations and Siege mode, adding another deadly challenge for squads.
The update also brings six new Heroic weapon variants, including the Melta Rifle, Chainsword, Bolt Carbine Combi-Flamer, Power Fist with an integrated Meltagun, Deathwatch-inspired Stalker Bolt Rifle, and an Executioner’s Axe variant for the Thunder Hammer. Three new Heroic armor pieces also arrived, featuring Ultramarines and Deathwatch-themed cosmetics.
Season Pass 2 owners also receive two new cosmetic packs. The Salamanders Champion Pack 2 adds a Heavy Champion skin and a Multi-Melta weapon skin, while the Raptors Cosmetic Pack includes five unique armor pieces inspired by the Chapter’s stealth-focused combat style.
With Year 2 now wrapped up, Space Marine 2 heads toward its third year of post-launch support, which is set to begin this September. For longtime fans, the Confrontation Update offers plenty of new reasons to return to the battlefield before the next chapter begins.
