Slain 2: The Beast Within Reveals PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Versions Alongside Steam Demo

Take Down Lord Vroll in Slain 2: The Beast Within

Steel Mantis and publisher Silver Lining Interactive have announced that Slain 2: The Beast Within is officially heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, expanding beyond its previously confirmed PC release on Steam. Alongside the announcement, the developers have also released a brand-new animated trailer showcasing the game’s signature blend of heavy metal-inspired fantasy and brutal hack-and-slash action.

Fans won’t have to wait long to experience the carnage, as a playable demo is now available on Steam. It offers players their first chance to step into the dark, gothic world of Slain 2 and test its fast-paced combat against terrifying enemies.

The developers also revealed good news for collectors. A physical PlayStation 5 edition will launch alongside the digital version, allowing players to own a boxed copy at a time when physical releases are becoming increasingly rare. Pre-orders for the retail edition are already open through Silver Lining Interactive’s retail partners.

In Slain 2: The Beast Within, players take on the role of Prince Akran, the last surviving Wolf Knight, as he fights to stop the demonic forces led by the ruthless Lord Vroll. Wielding the sentient sword Bathoryn, Akran must recover powerful relics across a dying world. When his blade alone isn’t enough, he can embrace the curse within and transform into a ferocious werewolf, unleashing devastating attacks to tear through his enemies.

With a new demo available and console versions now confirmed, Slain 2: The Beast Within looks like an exciting release for fans of dark fantasy and intense action games.
