A New Age of Conquest Awaits in Tempest Rising
Tempest Rising has officially expanded its war with the launch of The Veti’s Wrath campaign DLC on Steam. The expansion introduces the game’s long-awaited third playable faction, the ancient and technologically advanced Veti, while a free update makes the faction available to all players in multiplayer, skirmish, and custom game modes.
The Veti’s Wrath adds an 11-mission single-player campaign that follows the Veti after the devastating Tempest Wars. With their civilization shattered and their forces hunted by humanity, the Veti set out to reclaim their stolen technology and eliminate the corruption threatening their people.
The new faction brings a very different approach to the battlefield. Players can convert fallen enemies into Enlightened units, sacrifice them to power their machines, and use powerful abilities to overwhelm opposing armies. The Veti also feature a range of unique units, including the massive War Ender and Phantom Artillery, along with teleportation abilities and other domination-focused tools.
The DLC is available on Steam for $19.99, with a limited-time 10% launch discount. New players can also pick up the Gold Edition, which includes the base game and The Veti’s Wrath, for $54.99 before its limited-time launch discount. The original game is also 50% off for a limited time.
With the Veti now joining the fight, Tempest Rising has added a major new layer to its RTS formula.
