Restore the Land of Arsilthus in the Relic: First Guardian
The Relic: First Guardian is now available on PlayStation 5 and PC, marking the debut of developer Project Cloud Games’ dark fantasy action RPG after six years of development. Published by Perp Games, the title places players in the role of the First Guardian, whose mission is to restore the shattered land of Arsilthus by sealing the mysterious Void that has consumed the once-peaceful world.

Set in a grim fantasy universe, the game features fast-paced combat, character progression, and a world filled with tragic stories waiting to be uncovered. Players will face more than 80 powerful bosses, known as Brutals, each inspired by Korean folklore and mythology. Project Cloud Games says it wanted to deliver a fresh take on the genre by blending dark storytelling with unique interpretations of classic Korean legends.
The studio has also confirmed its long-term commitment to supporting the game. Following the release of its day-one patch, the developers plan to continue rolling out updates, performance improvements, gameplay enhancements, and additional content for both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions.
The Relic: First Guardian is available for £44.99, while players can purchase the optional Night of Extinguished Flame DLC for £8.99. The DLC includes extra in-game resources, an additional dungeon, exclusive gear, and a legendary weapon set to help players begin their journey. A physical edition will launch on September 4, featuring a map of Arsilthus and two DLC packs. Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 versions are also arriving later this summer.
With its dark world, folklore-inspired bosses, and ongoing post-launch support, The Relic: First Guardian is shaping up to be a promising new entry for action RPG fans. If you want to learn more about it, then make sure to check out our official preview right here!
