Lords of the Fallen Has Sold Over 2.5 Million Copies Worldwide

A Huge Win for Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen continues to build momentum, with developer CI Games announcing that the dark fantasy title has now surpassed 2.5 million copies sold worldwide. The milestone also marks a key financial achievement, as the game officially broke even at the end of February. Its total budget reached 298 million Polish złoty, roughly $80.45 million, covering both development and marketing costs.

The game’s steady growth comes after extensive post-launch support. The developers have dropped more than 70 updates since its release, helping maintain player interest over time. By August 2025, sales had already crossed 2 million units. This progress was further boosted by the Version 2.5 update in December 2025, which served as the final major patch. It introduced a new Veteran Mode and reworked enemy encounters throughout the game, offering a more intense, polished experience.

CEO and co-founder Marek Tyminski described the break-even milestone as an important step for the studio. He highlighted that while financial stability has now been achieved, the team is still focused on expanding the franchise and improving future projects based on player feedback gathered over the past few years.

The announcement follows recent confirmation that CI Games secured an additional $19 million in funding. This investment will support broader distribution plans for Lords of the Fallen II, which has already generated positive early impressions through its alpha footage. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the sequel is currently targeting a launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
