Lords of the Fallen II Shows off Savage Combat in a New Developer Video

Check Out What’s Cooking in Lords of the Fallen II

CI Games has revealed its most in-depth look yet at the brutal combat of Lords of the Fallen II in a new episode of its developer diary series, Lifting the Veil. Following the game’s official gameplay debut at The Game Awards, the studio continues its player-first approach by sharing fresh updates and directly addressing community feedback. In the latest video, game director James Lowe, lead system designer Daniel Regan, producer Alex Harkin, and creative strategist Ryan Hill break down key improvements and design philosophies shaping the sequel.

The episode features extensive new alpha gameplay footage. It showcases revamped combat mechanics, new enemy types, expanded weapon choices, and powerful spells. CI Games aims to make this installment faster, more aggressive, and more dynamic ahead of its 2026 launch. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Combat now emphasizes greater speed and maneuverability. Lampbearers can charge into battle more fluidly while managing larger combat spaces that demand sharper reflexes and smarter positioning. Players can seamlessly switch between melee, ranged attacks, and spellcasting, encouraging adaptable strategies mid-fight. Heavy attacks also play a more tactical role, forcing players to weigh risk and reward carefully rather than simply chasing higher damage numbers. New graphic execution moves and a detailed dismemberment system heighten the intensity, turning every encounter into a visceral spectacle.

Set 1,000 years after the fall of the dark god Adyr, Lords of the Fallen II returns to a world threatened by the sinister realm of Umbral. Players will face diverse enemies and massive bosses solo or through shared-progression co-op. All in an effort to fight and defend humanity’s last kingdom. You can already wishlist the game right now on all the respective platforms.
