Join the Flashy Action in Steel Maiden
Today, Keicee has announced the release of a free demo for Steel Maiden, giving players their first chance to experience the upcoming lightning-fast action roguelite ahead of its full launch. Developed entirely by solo creator Cho Ki Choul, the game features a unique two-button control system that delivers fast-paced, skill-based combat despite its simple mechanics.

Although the controls are easy to learn, Steel Maiden is built around precise timing and quick reflexes. Players must alternate between left and right button inputs to slash through relentless waves of enemies, creating a fast, rhythmic flow of combat that becomes increasingly intense as the action unfolds. The game supports both keyboard and controller, with the latter offering an even more satisfying feel during battles.
The demo is available in seven languages, including English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Russian, making it accessible to players around the world.
Cho Ki Choul developed the game as a passion project, handling every aspect of development from writing the first line of code to launching the game. Before developing it, Cho worked as the art director for My Little Puppy, a finalist for the Steam Awards’ “Outstanding Visual Style” category. He brings that artistic experience to Steel Maiden through its fluid 2D animations and polished visual presentation.
“I wanted to bottle that pure, immediate rush of fast action and pour it into a roguelite you can pick up with two fingers. Now you can play it yourself.”
— Cho Ki Choul, Steel Maiden
The full version of Steel Maiden will arrive sometime in Q4 2026. Until then, the free demo offers an exciting first look at what could become a standout indie action roguelite worth keeping an eye on.
