BEAM Inc. Opens Its Steam Store Page With a Free Demo

Your Ultimate Laser Weapon Awaits in BEAM Inc.

Solo developer imoyoukan has officially opened the Steam page for BEAM Inc., a compact “active incremental” game centered around weaponized light. The game will launch for PC on October 28, 2026, priced at $5.99, while players can try the first act through a free demo available now.

BEAM Inc.

In BEAM Inc., players take on the role of a beam operator working inside a sterile research facility. Their main task sounds simple: control a laser with the mouse and use it to neutralize mysterious specimens. However, defeating these creatures also produces photons, which players can collect and reinvest into research upgrades.

As they progress, the game gradually shifts from simply aiming a laser to figuring out how light can be manipulated. New abilities introduce mechanics such as auto-aim, reflection, refraction, and beam splitting, allowing players to control how light moves through each containment area.

The game is designed as a short, complete experience, with a campaign expected to take around two to three hours. It also avoids the usual incremental-game mechanics such as waiting timers, excessive clicking, and monetization.

BEAM Inc. features procedurally generated visuals built entirely from geometry, particles, and post-processing effects, giving the game a dark and sterile look without traditional sprite assets. It will also support nine languages at launch. For players looking for something short and experimental, this title could be worth checking out.
