Grow Your Operations in Space Engineers
Keen Software House has officially rolled out the Prosperity Update for Space Engineers, bringing one of the game’s biggest free content drops to date. Available now for all players, the update introduces fresh exploration opportunities, challenging encounters, new technology, and several quality-of-life improvements designed to enhance both survival and creative gameplay.

The highlight of the update is the arrival of the Factorum, a mysterious and dangerous endgame faction that protects rare Prototech. Unlike standard equipment, Prototech items cannot be crafted through normal production methods, encouraging players to venture into high-risk encounters in search of powerful rewards. Among the new technologies is the Prototech O2/H2 Generator, offering another valuable tool for advanced engineering projects.
Beyond new challenges, the Prosperity Update also expands gameplay with features that make exploration and base management more rewarding. Players can recover lost ships more efficiently, uncover hidden stories throughout the world, and further develop their industrial operations. Keen Software House has also refined several core systems, improving building, automation, trading, ship management, and modding to create a smoother overall experience.
Alongside the free update, the studio has released the optional Prosperity Pack. The DLC focuses on cosmetic additions, introducing a variety of new decorative blocks and structural variants, including Sloped Cockpits, Bulky Hydrogen Tanks, Steep and Solid Stairs, Battery Banks, Square Railings, Decorative Server Racks, Cable Runs, and additional lighting options for more detailed creations.
With fresh endgame content and meaningful gameplay improvements arriving together, the Prosperity Update gives both veteran engineers and returning players plenty of reasons to jump back into Space Engineers.
